Hosted GPU Desktops
Run AutoCad and resource intensive 3D design apps from anywhere on any device with Unity Cloud’s Hosted GPU Desktops.
Design applications have traditionally required expensive workstation computers with high-end graphics cards and significant amounts of memory to run effectively. These computers meant substantial upfront investments in hardware that needed replacing every three years. Employees were also only able to use the applications when they were in the office. The arrival of GPU computing in AWS and Azure's public clouds means that design applications can now be run from the cloud on relatively low powered desktops and tablets, from any Internet connection.
Our Hosted GPU Desktops deliver a feature-rich Microsoft desktop experience with applications such as Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat as well as your favourite design applications. Our GPU Desktops are hosted in UK AWS or Azure data centres and backed up for disaster recovery purposes, so your data is always safe.
Migrating from in-house, hardware-based computing to a monthly subscription model also make IT costs more manageable and predictable, and allows you to scale up and down to suit the needs of your business.
Our Hosted desktops also offer better protection from cyber threats. AWS and Azure data centres are protected by 24/7 security and our automated systems ensure all systems are kept up to date with the latest security updates. Next-generation firewalls protect traffic between your devices and the data centre, and on-disk encryption ensures all data is safe from unauthorised access. 2 Factor Authentication further secures the environment from unauthorised access. We provide backup and disaster recovery to a second UK data centre as standard.
